Problems at shutdown

OK, I changed the inittab to:
::shutdown:/etc/init.d/rcK
::shutdown:/usr/bin/killall klogd
::shutdown:/usr/bin/killall syslogd
::shutdown:/bin/umount -a -r
::shutdown:/sbin/swapoff -a
I get my message from rcK (hooray). But I don't hear anything from
anything else, including umount. I tried it on the command line and it
just gave me the usage information. I understand what this is trying to
do here (in the inittab) - how can I get it to work?
