2.4 module on 2.6 kernel with busybox v 1

Hi Guys,

I will appreciate some help on a (perhaps) trivial issue I am facing.
I am trying to insmod some 2.4 module binaries I have with me.
On a 2.6.12 kernel from snapgear 3.3 with busybox v1.

It's giving me : insmod: Cannot insert XXX  invalid module format
(-1). Exec format error.

I have enabled support for 2.4 modules in busybox compilation screen.
Any pointers will be helpfull.
