MMUless and shell functions

Hi,

I'd like to have a shell which supports functions on my MMUless 68k 
platform.  msh is working, but does not support functions, ash cannot be 
built for MMUless (as far as I can tell).

I've looked through the archives and seen some discussions but no 
conclusions.

Does anyone have a suggestion of a how I can get a shell for MMUless 
platforms that support shell functions.
