Im not running under init.

This is all launched from a script (attached), and Im logging in via telnet.

Most stuff seems to run OK, but cardmgr is almost garaunteed to cause telnetd to get terminated (possibly other thigs too, but I cant tell once telnetd is dead).

running 'cardmgr | more' gives me about 80% reliability, compared to about 5% with just 'cardmgr'

this is all on ARM (PXA250, 255, 263) platforms.

I can send my initrd with busybox and cardmgr on it.
