[BusyBox] any further developments on minit?

i'd still *really* like to replace init with minit in my system,
but when i've tried that, i've always got the following at boot time:
---------------------------------------------------------------------
... snip ...
VFS: Mounted root (ext2 filesystem).
Mounted devfs on /dev
Freeing unused kernel memory: 60k init
BusyBox v1.00-pre10 (2004.04.13-22:33+0000) multi-call binary

Usage: busybox [function] [arguments]...
   or: [function] [arguments]...

BusyBox is a multi-call binary that combines many common Unix
utilities into a single executable. Most people will create a
link to busybox for each function they wish to use, and BusyBox
will act like whatever it was invoked as.

Currently defined functions:
[, addgroup, adduser, ar, ash, basename, bunzip2, busybox, bzcat,
cat, chgrp, chmod, chown, chroot, clear, cp, cpio, cut, date,
dd, delgroup, deluser, df, dirname, dmesg, dpkg, dpkg-deb, du,
echo, env, false, fgrep, find, free, ftpget, ftpput, getty, grep,
gunzip, gzip, halt, head, hostname, id, ifconfig, insmod, kill,
killall, klogd, ln, logger, logread, ls, lsmod, mesg, minit,
mkdir,
mknod, modprobe, more, mount, msvc, mv, nslookup, pidfilehack,
ping, pivot_root, poweroff, ps, pwd, rdate, reboot, reset, rm,
rmdir, rmmod, rpm, sed, sh, sleep, sort, sync, syslogd, tail,
tar, telnet, telnetd, test, top, touch, true, tty, umount, uname,
uncompress, uniq, unzip, uptime, wget, which, whoami, yes, zcat

Kernel panic: Attempted to kill init!
 <0>Rebooting in 180 seconds..
------------------------------------------------------------------------

is this considered a bug that should be fixed before a BB 1.0 release?
