Dan,

Using '/dev/console' is definitely NOT the method you want. If you
search the mailing list, you will find many references to devfsd,
suggestions for using it, and any caveats you may (will) run into.
Also, you need to tell us where you want the console to be running. On
a serial port, an attached monitor, etc.

Thanks,

Subject: [BusyBox] inittab and console login

Hi,

I need to get a login shell running on the console of my
busybox/tinylogin/linux2.4 running devfs mounted at boot time.

What should the line in /etc/inittab look like to get that to work.
Currently I'm using:  ::askfirst:/bin/login

Which gives an error since /bin/sh can't access the tty for job control.

Thanks for any help,

Dan
