[BusyBox] can't access tty; job control turned off

This must be a trivial fix, but I can't find it...

I'm using 2.6.0-test10 with devfs.  My entry in inittab is:

vc/1::respawn:/sbin/getty 38400 vc/1


But after I give my username and password, I get:

-ash: can't access tty; job control turned off


The tty command gives /dev/vc/1 at the console.

I don't have this problem connecting via ssh.  The tty gives me /dev/pts/0
on this connection.

I would really like to get the console working.
