As the careful observers out there will note, Saturday has
come and gone without a release...  There are a few little
buglets remaining I am hoping to have squashed before we
cut the release.  The other thing, as pointed out privately
by Larry, is it would be nice to spend a few days letting
the dust of recent changes settle.  Sometimes, I my zeal at
fixing things at the last minute, I can break things.  So
after I get the remaining buglets cleaned up, and remaining
patches committed, I think we will try having a code freeze 
for a few days of testing to catch any remaining bugs,
